The footprint and fly clip to the jakes feet along with the poles and although the jakes feet are plastic they are very sturdy and certainly capable of holding up to tensioning of the rainfly. Sierra Designs must have listened to complaints because the bedroom section now has attachments for attic as well as has pockets on wall. The tent is incredibly spacious and easy to set up and take down. I set the tent up in 30 minutes alone except for the fly which I needed help to get over tent as it is taller than I am. The tent is incredible in the rain and wind. We had rain for 4 days and wind up to 40 mph on two different days. Not one drop of water inside and the tent withstood wind with hardly any movement. I had all 12 stakes in base and 6 guy lines hooked up. Ventilation is great even with the fly closed up... It is easy to put up and take down for such a large tent, it takes about 20-25 minutes by myself. It is huge inside with a flap to separate the tent for privacy (not mesh on the newer version). It has a lot of ventilation so it does not get to hot even in central florida, where we took it last week. It is factory sealed, so it does not get wet inside. It rained both days we were camping and there was not a drop inside the tent. I was looking for a new tent for my family of 4 (2 kids below 7). I am an avid researcher and looked at many tents and decided to go with the Wu Hu Annex 6+2.The Good: I like the overall design of this tent. I was looking for a tent with a screened in area as my kids sometimes get freaked out by bugs. This tent provides a nice screened area. The Bad: I am not convinced on the quality. I just opened it up and noticed 15-20 imperfections in the mesh. They're not holes but they look a little like snags. I guess I can live with it. Maybe it is impossible to make mesh with out having these imperfections. If it isn't, a simple quality control check by Sierra Designs would have found these in 2 minutes. I also dislike the way that the tent floor at both ends by the doors is not pulled taught by the poles. This creates some bunching and sagging at the doors.
